Electric kettle
Electric Wok
Rice Cooker
Ingredients:
One bellpepper
Two onions
One Bama garlic
10-12 small tomatoes
Mint (of if you can find it, basil)
Cilantro
Store bought Myanmar noodle
Salt and Sugar to taste
Directions:
1) Start by cutting and mincing garlic and onion while heating oil in your wok
2) Sauté onion and garlic first until garlic is slightly golden. While you are doing this fill your kettle with water and add 8 tomatoes in your kettle. Turn on your kettle for two cycles. This will get your tomatoes soft so you have tomato sauce.
3) While tomatoes are boiling in kettle, cut up your bellpepper, mint, and remaining tomatoes. Add the bell pepper and chopped mint once garlic is sautéed well. You will add chopped tomatoes later.
4) Check if tomatoes are soft and drain water. In a seperate bowl, pound your boiled tomatoes until you have a tomato sauce consistency you like. You can also now add in your salt and sugar.
5) Slowly add in tomato sauce and chopped tomatoes to wok, stir well, reduce heat and cover.
6) Now add water to your rice cooker and add noodles. Turn on your rice cooker and cover, you will have to periodically check to see when your noodles are done. Then drain and rinse noodles.
7) Taste test your sauce after about 10-15 mins, if good make you plate and add some chopped cilantro for extra flavor.
